Owen Sandland

Owen has been an Ascend Music Studios student intern since the summer of 2024 and teaches students ages 7-12. He is a high school junior and has taken piano lessons since 2013. His students enjoy his rhythm exercises, music theory lessons, constructive tips when needed, and his overall friendliness during lessons (asking how their day is going or what their weekend plans are). Music remains his biggest passion, as he plays the alto saxophone and piano in the school concert and jazz bands, and has recently picked up the bassoon!
