Jacob Harmon

Born and raised in San Diego, Jacob has been teaching music since 2018. Playing piano from a young age, he pursued a degree in Music from the University of California, San Diego, where he focused on Jazz Studies. During his stay, he performed with the UCSD Jazz Ensemble, and you may find him in sessions around San Diego.

Jacob focuses on teaching his students how to listen and understand the music at a deeper level. He is patient and passionate about seeing his students enjoy the music they’re playing, meeting them where they are, and teaching a broad range of experience levels. He loves helping students become excited about music, focusing on teaching theory and ear training while still teaching the fundamentals.
