Birthday 1/13
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where Frank played percussion and saxophone throughout his middle and high school years. While pursuing a degree in Worship Arts Leadership at Spring Arbor University in Michigan, he focused on voice and piano, with his teachers becoming his mentors. He stayed active in the band, participating in both percussion and woodwind sections. Although his conducting emphasis was on choral music, he also studied score and composition one-on-one with the Chair of the Music Department.
Frank moved to California in 2009, primarily teaching voice and piano as a Senior Instructor at a studio in Encinitas. He also learned to play several instruments during his time there, including the cello and the accordion.
After more than ten years of teaching, Frank founded Ascend Music Studios in 2020, where he continues to teach piano and voice while maintaining the business's executive functions.
Frank is known for being patient and knowledgeable as a teacher, while still maintaining a desire for excellence from all his students. He understands that failure is only a stepping stone to success. Having written the studio's core values, you could say Frank is very passionate about each of them, but he also aims to develop artists who are capable of becoming leaders and catalysts for positive, creative change in our culture.
